What is BusRadio?

BusRadio is a media company specializing in audio programming for children as they travel to and from school on the bus.

Unlike regular AM/FM broadcasting, BusRadio shows are downloaded through a Wi-Fi Network every night to each bus equipped with free,
custom-designed BusRadio units.

Programming is split into three separate shows that are tailored to elementary, middle and high school audiences. This ensures that students are always
entertained in an age-appropriate, safe and fun way; without the offensive lyrics and adult DJ banter that many AM/FM stations feature.

Safety Features

BusRadio is committed to keeping students safe on their ride to school. This starts with careful screening of all songs on the playlist by the Content
Review Board. If a song doesn’t pass the vigorous standards of the Board, then it doesn’t get played on the show - regardless of how popular that song
might be. No AM/FM station is as reliable as BusRadio in this screening process, while still entertaining teens and tweens with the songs they love.

The radio unit itself comes equipped with GPS and an emergency panic button. These tools allow drivers the peace of mind that should an emergency
occur, they can be in touch with 911 in seconds, hands-free, and the operator will know the exact location of the school bus in trouble.

GPS also provides intelligence for bus dispatch teams. At every stage of the route, transport officials can see the location of all buses in the district. This
means parents can be alerted if the bus is going to be late, or if their children have already been dropped off.

BusRadio’s Mission

A key mission of BusRadio is to encourage creativity in students and support their development into socially aware, healthy young adults. The
programming achieves this in several ways, firstly by partnering with non-profit organizations and government agencies that improve opportunities for
children and encourage them to live productive, safe lives. All of the organizations featured on this page are alliances of BusRadio. They provide public
service announcements that run for four minutes out of every hour of programming and tackle subjects such as internet safety, exercise and excessive
video gaming.

BusRadio also encourages children to find their creative talents by running contests that remove the focus from winning and place it on taking part and
helping others. In December 2007, the “Give A Gift, Get A Gift” competition asked children to describe what gift they were most excited to give and who
it was for. Two winners each received laptop computers and a $200 donation to a charity of their choice.

In March 2008, to celebrate National Youth Art Month, BusRadio asked students to submit their best art work for the chance to win $300 in art supplies
for themselves and $2600 in supplies for their art department at school.

Helping Schools Improve Education

BusRadio is dedicated to helping schools give students a positive education. There is no charge for receiving BusRadio programming, or for the
custom-designed radio units, speakers and PA systems that are installed on each bus in participating districts.

BusRadio keeps students educated, entertained and more engaged in social and personal improvement.
